Census figures put the median Prosper home at 2014, with about 72% built in 2010 or later and 4% before 1990 (U.S. Census Bureau, ACS 2020-2024 5-year, B25034/B25035).
To find out when your own system went in, look at the data plate on the outdoor unit and on the furnace or air handler. It lists the model and serial number, and the serial usually encodes the manufacture date. Give us the brand and model when you book so the technician can bring the right parts.
HVAC and appliance services in Prosper
AC Repair
When the outdoor unit hums but the fan will not spin, a failed capacitor is a common cause and one of the cheaper repairs. The AC diagnostic is $65 and is waived if you go ahead with the repair.
AC Installation
A new central air system for a Prosper home is quoted at the house after the technician looks at the existing equipment and ductwork. SmartWay holds Texas air conditioning license TACLA00108954C.
Furnace Repair
On a high-efficiency gas furnace, an inducer motor that runs while the burners never light often points to a pressure switch that will not close, sometimes because the condensate trap or line is blocked. A heating diagnostic in Prosper costs $65.
AC Maintenance
The AC tune-up is $85 per system. There is also a $15 per month maintenance plan. Ask what it covers when you book. The tune-up includes condenser cleaning and the checks listed on the AC Maintenance page.
Refrigerator Repair
Water collecting under the crisper drawers, or ice building up on the freezer floor, usually traces to a clogged or frozen defrost drain. A refrigerator visit is $85, and that fee comes off when you approve the repair.
Washer Repair
A washer that hums but will not fill often has a failed water inlet valve or clogged inlet screens. One that walks across the floor during spin may have worn shock absorbers or suspension springs, or it may just need leveling. A washer visit is $65.
Dryer Repair
An electric dryer that tumbles without heat usually has a failed heating element or a blown thermal fuse, and a lint-packed vent is often what blew the fuse. A new fuse will blow again unless the vent is cleared. The dryer service call is $65 and is waived if you go ahead with the repair.
